![]() | Harold A. Locke, P.Eng.Specialist Consultant - Design Harold Locke’s 40+ years of experience in fire protection engineering spans a wide range of projects in Canada, the USA and overseas. A former Vice President of Rolf Jensen & Associates and President of Locke MacKinnon Domingo Gibson & Associates, he has worked as a specialist consultant to Sereca since 2005. He is a respected expert in fire engineering particularly for rapid transit systems, and has contributed to numerous national and international transit projects. Mr. Locke has played a significant role in advancing the industry’s codes and standards, including serving as a member of the Committee for NFPA 130 Standard for Fixed Guideway Transit and Passenger Rail Systems and in the preparation of the Ontario Building Code Requirements for Rapid Transit Stations. He has participated in code committees responsible for the development of the National Building Code since 1970 and has served on technical and standards committees for ULC, CSA, ISO, the American Society for Testing of Materials, the National Fire Protection Association, and the National Research Council of Canada Division of Building Research (now known as the Institute for Research in Construction), and others. |
![]() | Michael Bodnar, M.Eng., P.Eng.Manager, Calgary Office Mr. Bodnar brings to Sereca a range of engineering experience from his background as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, a field engineer for a large international oilfield services company, a Senior Fire Protection Engineer with a large hydroelectric utility company, and with Sereca Fire Consulting Ltd. from 2005. Mr. Bodnar has worked extensively both domestically and internationally. This variety of exposure has proved critical in Mr. Bodnar’s successful forensic investigation of large loss fires from the residential, commercial, industrial, and marine environments; he has a particular interest in fire suppression and fire spread issues. Specific to fire design, Mr. Bodnar’s focus has been on fire suppression and explosion mitigation in the power utility and oil and gas industries as well as the development of alternative solutions. |
